FR Château Maucoil Tradition Châteauneuf-du-pape Blanc

The Château Maucoil estate dates back to the Roman empire, when the site was planted with vineyards for Caesar’s legions and colonists. The Château itself was established in 1544 and is located on the plateau of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, with vineyards reaching into the neighboring Côtes-du-Rhône Villages district. 

The 2024 Château Maucoil Châteauneuf-du-Pape Tradition Blanc is a highly elegant, organic white blend from the southern Rhône. Blending traditional grapes like Grenache Blanc and Clairette, it offers a light gold hue, refined citrus and honeysuckle aromas, and a vibrant, mineral-driven finish.

VARIETALS: Grenache 40%, Clairette 40%, and Roussanne 20%

TASTING NOTES:

• Nose: Highly finesse-driven with rich, layered aromas of ripe citrus, pear, and subtle white floral notes like honeysuckle.
• Palate: Round and luscious yet restrained, balancing creamy textures with bright, vibrant minerality and a long, savory finish
• Aging Potential: While refreshing in its youth, this wine is structured well enough to hold and evolve in the cellar for roughly 5 to 7 years
