Rosé de Saignée Brut is a deep, vinous, and highly expressive tribute to Pinot Noir, crafted by one of the few houses in the region that continues to champion the traditional saignée (bleeding) method. Located in Urville within the Côte des Bar, the estate takes full advantage of its limestone-rich, Jurassic Kimmeridgian soils to impart structural elegance and racy minerality to its vines.
VARIETALS: 100% Pinot Noir
DOSAGE: 7,5 g/liter
- Appearance: Displays a vibrant, deep salmon-pink hue with radiant copper highlights and a persistent, fine-beaded mousse.
- Nose: Intensely aromatic and expressive, bursting with fresh red apples, wild strawberries, and ripe raspberries. Subtle floral undertones of violet and rose petals intermingle with a light touch of allspice.
- Palate: Medium to full-bodied, fleshy, and highly structured. A generous core of macerated cherry, redcurrant, and yellow plum fills the mouth, balanced by a sharp, incisive acidity and a classic chalky grip.
- Finish: Warm and satiny with exceptional freshness. It concludes on a clean, lingering note of stone fruits, underlined by a refined dash of white pepper and a faint trace of licorice.
- Antipasti and cured meats
- Oily fish such as salmon en papillote or tuna tataki
- Grilled pink lamb chops or roasted duck breast
- Fresh strawberry salads or lightly sweetened summer desserts
