Masseria Potenti: an estate of 130 hectares in the countryside of Manduria, the vineyards were first started in 1561 originally belonging to the rich and powerful family of the Imperiali. It is located in a smooth landscape which gently rolls towards the enchanting Ionian sea, amongst endless olive groves, vineyards and Mediterranean thicket.

APPEARANCE
Bright ruby red with purple reflections.

NOSE
On the nose sensations of red currant, plum, pepper, flowers and liquorice.

PALATE
Full-bodied, balanced tannins envelop the palate driving it to a long finish.

AGEING
Separate vinification of the singles varieties, rasping, fermentation on the skins, racking off and short maturation in steel tanks.
May have a short refine in wood.

PAIRING
Lasagna, risotto, beef carpaccio, steak and medium aged cheeses.
