Crafted by Femar Vini from the sun-drenched “red earth” soils of Puglia, Antico Ceppo Primitivo di Manduria is a powerful expression of Southern Italy’s winemaking tradition. The name “Antico Ceppo,” meaning “Ancient Stump,” honors the deep-rooted lineage of the native Primitivo grapes that thrive in the heat and sea breezes of the Manduria DOP.

TASTING NOTES:

• Appearance: A deep, intense ruby red with violet reflections.
• Aroma: A complex and inviting bouquet featuring ripe black forest fruits: plum, blackberry, and cherry, layered with hints of rosemary, violet, and earthy humus.
• Palate: Full-bodied and lush, the wine offers concentrated dark fruit flavors framed by soft, well-integrated tannins. The oak aging contributes elegant notes of vanilla, toasted wood, and warm baking spices.
• Finish: Smooth and persistent with a long, satisfying finish.

PAIRING:

A great companion to matured hard cheeses such as cheddar or parmesan, but also with veal steak with rosemary and as well as game meat dishes such as wild roulade from the freshman filled with Parma ham and sheep cheese.
